You will need to configure Polygon-Mainnet on Metamask.

Prerequisite: Add the Polygon Mainnet network to MetaMask 

Get MATIC on Polygon Mainnet (NOT MATIC on Ethereum Mainnet)

MATIC is required to make any transactions on Polygon. Transactions on Polygon are very cheap (generally <0.02 MATIC each), so 1–2 MATIC should be more than sufficient for most users (50–100 transactions).

Follow any of the below methods to get MATIC on Polygon. 

Method 1: Transak in MetaMask

1. Open MetaMask

2. Select Polygon Mainnet Network

3. Select Buy

4. Select TRANSAK

5. Make sure to select “MATIC on the Polygon network” in the “You receive (estimate)” box

6. Click "Buy Now" and follow prompts to complete purchase

Note: Transak currently limits the max transaction size to 1500 USD

Method 2: MoonPay in MetaMask

1. Open MetaMask

2. Select Polygon Mainnet Network

3. Select Buy

4. Select MoonPay

5. Make sure to select “MATIC - Polygon (Polygon)” under the “I want to buy” text

6. Click "Continue" and follow prompts to complete purchase 

Note: MoonPay currently limits the max transaction size to 12,000 USD

Method 3: Bridge from Ethereum to Polygon

Note: Use this option if you already have ETH or MATIC on Ethereum Mainnet

1. Switch to the “Ethereum Mainnet” network by clicking the dropdown button at the top of MetaMask 

2. Go to https://bridge.umbria.network/bridge/

3. Connect your MetaMask wallet

4. Under “Send From ->”, select Network you will bridge from "Ethereum Mainnet"

5. Under "-> Receive On", select "Polygon PoS Chain"

6. Select any token with value in your wallet and amount you want to bridge ex. "ETH"

5. Click "Send (Metamask)" 

6. Confirm the transaction in MetaMask (this will cost additional ETH to pay for the gas/transaction fees, which can be quite expensive) 

7. Wait ~5 minutes for your Polygon Network MATIC balance to update 

8. Convert token you transferred into Polygon Network in MetaMask using “Swap”

9. Switch to the "Polygon" Network in MetaMask (if you haven't already)

10. Select token you just bridged then click "Swap"

11. Under "Swap from" select amount you want to Swap

12. Under "Swap to" select MATIC

13. Click "Review Swap" - review data before completing Swap

14. Click "Swap"

Within 30 seconds, you should see your MATIC balance in MetaMask increase by the amount you specified.
